This was a comment on the last post, but here it is again: A pretty colorful recent sighting in Watertown:
"My girlfriend and I were driving home to Newton tonight -- when we saw a Coyote running wild through the streets of Watertown (right off of Galen Street behind Vows Bridal Outlet). It looked just like the "Eastern Coyote" -- and was very energetic and wild -- running down the street and then darting into people's front lawns and then jumping back out into the street. Quite a sight to see!"

I saw a young coyote sprinting down the Jamaicaway on 12/14/11 at about 1:30. He turned left on Jamaicaway court. I was trapped at the light, or I would have followed him - he was definitely headed somewhere in a hurry!
Yesterday, July 8, 2012, at about 7pm., our neighbors were sitting on their porch and saw our cat, Jet, go runing across the street and into our yard being chased by a fox. Jet run up a tree and our neighbors scared off the fox. The said that the fox was making snarling sounds as it chased Jet. This took place near the Arbor Hospital on Robinwood Ave.

I saw what I first thought was a cat with an unusually long tail cross the sidewalk and go up a driveway. When I passed the driveway, my dog startled the animal and it definitely made a quick snarling sound (which is when I started thinking it wasn't a cat). As we continued to walk, it came back down on the sidewalk to look at us. It then peed like a boy dog would (lifting one leg to mark). I have a picture I snapped with my phone that I'd be happy to send, although it is pretty hard to make out the animal.

I was leaving the Quincy Marriott hotel when my girlfriend said "Watch out for the dogs crossing the road."
It was about 10pm, and the hotel is located at the end of a long drive up a hill so we both thought it was odd there were dogs out. As I drove around the bend we saw one duck into the bushes, and a second one turned and looked at us before following its pal. I hit the breaks and said Wolf! Then realizing that they were coyotes. I have seen them on the Cape, once up close and a little to personal, but was startled to see them in the city.
